The Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) has been working on policy guideline and strategic plan development for mine actions in Cambodia since 2000. We work with strong collaboration and partnership with both national and international institutions and organizations. We also represent the Royal Government of Cambodia in international mine action forums.
Today, mine clearance, mine risk education, survivor assistance, and related mine action activities are conducted in Cambodia under the authority of the CMAA.

PHNOM PENH, 23 September 2011 - Eleven Asian countries concluded this week a two-day regional meeting on Addressing the Human Costs of Anti-Personnel Landmines in which they resolved to continue to improve their responsiveness to the humanitarian challenges of landmines. In a related technical meeting in Siem Reap, mine specialists from 23 countries, this week presented enhanced approaches to mine clearance.
Push for mine treaty, a mission of the CMAA Vice President to Vietnam
Phnom Penh, August 20, 2011: Returning from Hanoi, Vietnam, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority, held a press conference at Phnom Penh International Airport. He presented the topic discussed with senior Vietnamese officials during meetings last week.
The purposes of the mission were to discuss with Vietnamese government about the principles and objectives of the Ottawa convention. He informed his Vietnamese counterparts about the achievements of Cambodian mine action and the benefits of becoming a state party,
